Q: What do I need for the Tough Bloke Challenge?
Just yourself! Wear some old clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. A good suggestion is to buy some clothes from the Salvation Army which you won't mind throwing away at the end of the event (please make sure you take all your rubbish and old clothes with you when you leave). Closed shoes must be worn, so get out those old runners that you don't mind getting dirty. There will be water available along the course.
Q: Can I get a refund if I withdraw from the Tough Bloke Challenge?

Q: Can I drive up on the morning of the Sydney challenge?
If you live in the Sydney metro area you can drive up on the morning of the challenge but you will have to allow at least 70 mins to get to the event centre.
Q: What time does the event start?
The event will start at 9am for the Elite wave, General waves start at 9.30am to 11.30pm, Tough Kids waves are at 1pm and 1.30pm. When you enter you can pick a available time slot (1/2 hourly) to start in. While out on the course you may experience some hold ups on certain obstacles. If this happens to you, please be patient and follow the directions of the marshals. It is also a good chance to take a break and catch your breath. Registration for the event will be open from 8am on event day. All participants must register to receive their race number.
Q: Where can I stay at the event centre?
You may make your own arrangements for camping or dorm style accommodation at the event centre for the Friday night. You can contact the venue directly to book accommodation.
Q: Are there any prizes on offer?
There are prizes for Elite winners and for Best Fancy dress (male and female).
Q: Can I bring my family and friends along to watch?
Yes, we would encourage you to bring your family and friends along to watch you take on the Tough Bloke Challenge. There will be a jumping castle for the kids to play on and plenty of activities to see. Water pistols to give the participants that special extra motivation are encouraged.
Q: Is a support crew needed for the Tough Bloke Challenge?
No, you do not need a support crew for this event. The nature of the race will require you to be self-sufficient out on the course, but you are more than welcome to have supporters cheer you on.
Q: Can I enter a team?
Yes. Upon registration you will be asked to either enter as an individual, create a team or join a team. If you're the team captain and creating the team for the first time then be sure to create a name and password which you will need to give to the rest of your team mates to use when they register and join your team.

Q: How do I get to the venue?
You can drive to the venue and park in the available parking. Full details on transport options will be provided in the Event Program sent to all participants in the lead up to the event.

Q: Am I able to run the course before the event?
No, the course will not be accessible before the event.
Q: What are the expected finish times?
Top participants should finish the Tough Bloke Challenge in under an hour depending on conditions. Average participant take approximately one and a half hours to complete the course.
Q: How will I know where to go on the course?
The course will be marked with brightly coloured markers for easy guidance. Marshalls will also be positioned at critical points along the course for extra guidance when it is needed. The trail outline and markings will be described in the Event Program sent to all participants leading up to the event.
Q: How fit or skilled do I need to be?
The Tough Bloke Challenge is accessible to all runners with the correct preparation. If you haven't been for a run recently, now's the time to get training. If you are uncomfortable with any obstacle, you can skip it (unless your in the Elite wave that is!).
